by

The Drawing with Satellites exhibition presents art works of the artists
Mary Ogembo, Erik Maina, Charles Ngatia, Rose Arunga, Noor Jefwa,
Jefferson Adsmola, Robinson Omwari, Dickens Otieno George and Martin Chumbi. It is an overview of the results of a contemporary gps-art workshop conducted by dutch artists Esther Polak and Ivar van Bekkum.

During the workshop all participants made a GPS drawing in the streets of Nairobi and around, that had a special meaning to them. The GPS drawings were projected on the walls of the Go-Down exhibition space, and the participants, all true painters, created a series of wonderful and visually rich murals based on their routs and experiences along the road. Every mural is accompanied by a lucid text on these experiences. The show is still on till Saturday 21. You do not want to miss it!

Place: The GoDown Arts Centre, Industrial Area, Nairobi

Supported by:Mondriaan Foundation, The Nairobi Arts Trust Kenya, The Arts Collaboratory and Foundation  Beelddiktee
